Zombie 6: The Sergeant

This particular zombie eluded a commanding presence which demanded respect from those in her vicinity. Her unmatched level of shrewd tactics and authority equaled that of a seasoned army sergeant, radiating strength and leadership. Despite her masculine physique, she appeared ageless, which left me wondering if she was composed of some strange alien genetic composition. Unlike others, she never engaged in any romantic entanglements with my ex, their ongoing conflict made things tense whenever they saw each other. She seemed to be a master at avoiding detection; she harbored a hidden agenda that was skillfully concealed from me.   Allowing her back into my life would be a fatal error. Our previous history stretched back for many years, and having reconnected, I entrusted her to manage a business on my property. However, I couldn't ignore there was a sinister aura that was surrounding her. Looking back now, I have never forgotten about an unsettling memory which unrave...

Zombie 4: The Mexican Maid

Mariana was a stunning Mexican beauty with smooth olive skin and striking long black hair. Everyone who saw her found her impossible to resist. Her sultry smile and confident walk captivated everyone's attention, leaving a trail of admirers in her wake. Her eyes, the color of rich cocoa, entranced those who gazed into them, leaving every woman desiring to be her. If my ex-husband had left me for someone who looked like her, I might have understood his betrayal. But the woman that I painted was just a mere illusion, a fantasy; his new wife was the total opposite. Despite being much younger than him and the same age as our oldest daughter, Mariana set her sights on what she thought was a wealthy entrepreneur. She refused to let our marriage be an obstacle to her goals; in fact, it only fueled her determination. Her true appearance is an empty vessel of a deeply hurt woman. Her heart carries a seething resentment that left her bitter and an obsession for control. In fact, Mariana was ...

Zombie 5: The Imp

A tiny, squeaky voice slipped beneath my blanket, claiming to be my dearest friend. This elusive, unseen imp moved swiftly throughout my home, creating chaos and turning my family against each other. Yes, you are indeed a short sneaky little dwarf who danced on the edge of danger, whispering into my children’s ears leading my loved ones astray. Even after seeking forgiveness at the church, you persisted in abusing my trust, going so far as to sleeping in my bed. Your nails grazed too closely, clawing at my legs, and instinctively I knew something was not right. Though initially shocked, my suspicions were eventually validated. After your true character was revealed, you fled like a scared child, leaving in your wake a trail of anguish and immense heartache in your wake. Oh, how I yearn for the day, you will feel that same pain that you have so freely given to others. As you persist in seeking your next prey and spreading fear, I often wonder how those who commit these heinous a...

Zombie 3 & 4: The Twin Narcs

In your presence, the floor shifts into a fragile layer of eggs, causing my legs to tremble and forcing me to walk on my tip toes. You have formed an unholy alliance with a wicked stepmother, both of you feeding on the same demon for nourishment. Like cackling witches you concoct a brew, while engaging in a sinister dance of manipulation, weaving webs of deceit and lies. Trapped and immobilized, your chants morph into snarls, surrounding me like a menacing pack of wolves. My words fail to help me, as I am now viewed as the irrational one. You both seem to be driven by a shared goal - the annihilation of my very existence. You both reside in your bubble of self-love, being captives of your own design, unable to break free from the chains of your narcissistic prison. Not realizing you both cling to your own demise.

Zombie 2: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

How the hell did I get here? My childhood was perfect, or at least as perfect as one could ask for. My youthful eyes looked upon the world in wonder. My young spirit embraced all the possibilities the world had to offer. Like a treasure box begging to be open, I wanted it all! Everything was ours for the taking. It was handed to you on a silver platter. Believing the world was our biggest challenge, was my first mistake.  You took liberties indulging in your darker desires as Mr. Hyde without consequences. However, your mixture of alcohol made it more difficult for you to control which one you would be. You became increasingly mental abusive and uncontrollable. This path led you to commit more and more heinous acts, struggling to contain your evil side.  The twists and turns that led me here are unfathomable! My dreams only remain a remnant of my imagination.  You once had it all, but it fell from your grip, as you continued to sip on your toxic potion, thinking...

Zombie 1: The Beast from the East

Even though Catherine was not wealthy, some called her poor; you would never know this by the style of clothes she wore. She had a natural talent, the gift of sewing. She could take any old thing, and turn it from rags to riches.  Today was no different, as she was walking towards the church; she looked as if she floated right off the cover of a magazine, featuring the famous designer Christian Dior.  The light weight dress flowed effortlessly with every step she took. It was composed of a delicate three tier overlay, with touches of lace that fell in just the right places. Beautifully stitched, and embossed with small dainty brown balls, which fell into a pattern that went from her head, all the way to her toes, it dangled only a few inches from the floor. It was sleeveless, and the top hugged her neckline just so.  Even though Catherine was creative, the belt must go, as this was indeed a maternity dress, I must say it looked spectacular!  The white flats that...
